Projects

Timeless Memorials.

Wooden urns, turned by hand on Mill Street.

The work

Made slowly, from one piece of wood.

Turned from a single block rather than assembled from parts, so the grain runs unbroken around it. No two are alike, because no two trees are.

Choosing the wood

A species that means something.

We mill and dry our own wood, so the choice is open to you — walnut, cherry, maple, oak, butternut, and whatever else is on the rack that week.

If there is a tree that mattered to your family, we can often work from that instead. Send us a photograph of it and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

How it works

  1. 01

    Talk to us first

A phone call or an email is enough to start. Tell us as much or as little as you want to; we will ask only what we need to know.

  2. 02

    Choose the wood

Come and see what is on the rack, or send a photograph of a tree that matters. We will tell you honestly whether it can be worked.

  3. 03

    We make it

Turned, finished and checked here on Mill Street. We will tell you how long it will take before we begin, and we will keep to it.

To talk about one, call 905-925-WOOD or send us a note. There is no hurry, and no obligation.
